Hello, and welcome to our website! We are Richard and Alison, AKA the Brandy Jacks an acoustic wedding duo based in West Yorkshire.
With almost a decade of gigging experience combined, and a passion for playing the music of yesteryear, we believe the Brandy Jacks acoustic duo are a perfect choice for any celebratory event, providing professionalism, talent, and a touch of class.
Together we have a shared adoration for all things vintage, not only from the way we present ourselves, but in every aspect of our lives.
We therefore specialise in Blues, Jazz, 50’s Rock ‘n’ Roll and Motown, but can add an authentic twist to any song.
Based in West Yorkshire, we are husband and wife and therefore know the importance of making the right choice for your perfect day.
We have our shared passion of playing live music to thank for bringing us together and beginning our own love story, and hope we can play a part in yours too.
Being one half on the Brandy Jacks, I get the chance to combine my two passions in life; music and a love of all things vintage.
As a child I would spent my weekends watching old black and white films, and my oldest musical memories involve my mums ‘rock n roll love songs’ cassette tape that would be playing non-stop in the car.
I have always loved to sing, and have performed in various bands, before going back to my roots and playing the music that I love, with Richard.
Paying homage to my childhood influences, I am also a 1940s/50s enthusiast and was the face of the vintage cosmetic company Le Keux for 2016.
I believe that in order to do something well, you have to absolutely love what you do. And performing live music with my very own husband to be is, for me, as good as it gets.
I have played in many different bands over the last eight years, writing and recording original material I have even been fortunate to have my songs broadcast on BBC radio Leeds.
I am a versatile musician specialising in an eclectic mix of genres, you can be sure that there is something for everyone in our sets, whether it be a vintage take on a modern song or a faithful rendition of an old favourite.
I pride myself on my music, and feel privileged to be able to entertain people on one of the most important days of their lives.
